ABOUT ME
I am a young, competent rider from North East England looking to expand my horizons within the equestrian community.
Having owned horses and ponies my whole life, and currently having multiple of my own, I have been able to gain experience in all areas of the sport. Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to handle and ride lots of different types of horses and ponies - some being significantly more challenging than others! This means that I have plenty of knowledge surrounding problem horses or ponies.
I pride myself on striving for the best in all aspects of my work, and look for the positives in every situation..even when the going gets tough. My time spent with these animals is extremely personal, and having one on one time with the horses and ponies I work with allows me to really understand and appreciate what their boundaries are, and therefore where certain behaviors stem from.
MY SERVICES
HANDLING HORSES/PONIES
This service involves me working with horses and ponies on the ground to improve manners, and increase the safety of any future handlers.
EXERCISING HORSES/PONIES
This service includes lunging, hacking, schooling and/or jumping work. Sessions prices will vary depending on the experience and behavior of the horse or pony being ridden.
WORKING WITH PROBLEM HORSES/PONIES
Spoiler alert..problem horses or ponies don’t actually exist! Nine times out of ten, there is a deep rooted issue such as past trauma or anxiety. I offer to assist owners in understanding their horse or pony’s behavior, as well as finding a solution to it. My only requirement with this service is that all horses and ponies are fully checked over before I get involved, as many behavioral problems can be due to underlying health issues or ill fitting tack.
